MSC FIELD CLOSING SAT NOVEMBER 19th @11am
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19th @ 11am- 1pm. Everyone is asked to help out. The rainday will be Sunday November 20th @ 11am -1pm.
Please bring Fertilizer spreader, We will meet at the Fremont school fields and we will also have people work at St. Mary's church.
ITems to do:
Winterize the fields by spreading fertilizer and weed control. Move goalposts off field and stake the fields forr easy spring opening. Thats about it. We need everyone there so it goes fast and easy.
We are a volunteer organization and if you want to keep our rates as low as possible, please support our efforts to keep costs low. Questions? Bring the whole team and family and Make it a party!
NO DOGS ALLOWED
Fremont Fields, St. Mary's and Behm Park do not allow the use of tobacco or alcohol on premises. Also, no dogs are allowed on the fields or grass areas surrounding the fields.

Mundelein Park District asks your support for kids
Mundelein Park District has recently partnered with a group called The Sports Shed. They collect used sporting goods equipment to help out the less fortunate. One of their collection boxes is in the Mundelein Community Center lobby (on Midlothian Rd). As you all know, there are a lot of families who are struggling and having some equipment to participate may help. Please check out their website too if you want http://thesportsshed.org/

U10 Strikers are Celtic Cup Champions!
Congratulations Coaches and players for winning the Palatine Celtic Cup this fall. After going undefeated in the first round, The Young Strikers dominated their way to the Championship title. Congratulations Coach Shawn and Coach Shah and the team!!!
2011/12 U13 Stikers now MSC U13 Strikers Elite
Beginning in the 2011/12 season, MSC U12 Strikers have earned the distinction of being named an Elite squad. Coaches Hamilton and Reback welcome the challenge and high expectations. Way to go Strikers Elite!!!!

All our MSC home games will still be played at Fremont Field. Please see fields tab on website home page for directions.
Note: no dogs, tobacco or alcohol allowed at Fremont Field. Also, please take all cups, bottles back to the garbage cans in the parking lot.

U13 Strikers Elite WIN 2nd place at Celtic Cup
Our U13 Strikers U13 were runner up champs this fall at the Palatine Celtic Cup. The strikers Elite lost in the top division championship game but played a great tournament. Congrats Coach Mike and Coach Andrew and all our Strikers Elite!!!!

MSC FUNDRAISERS
MSC is excited to announce a new fundraising initiative for our club! MSC has partnered with Mundelein Wendy's and Applebee's and set up "dining to donate" nights, where the restaurants will donate 15% of sales to our club! Participation is easy - just eat at these restaurants on the designated nights/times (flyer must be presented at Applebee's but not at Wendy's), and the club earns money!
The details are in the flyers attached - but here are the highlights:
Wendy's - Three dates are set:
Wednesday, September 28

Wednesday, November 16
all from 5-8 pm.
No flyer needs to be presented. All sales - dine-in or drive-thru - count!
Applebee's –
Wednesday, October 5th
Must present the attached flyer to your server - but all sales (food and beverage, including alcohol) count - dine-in or Carside to Go - from 11 am until 11 pm!

Help spread the word! Make copies of the flyers for players and encourage them to give flyers to their friends and family.

5th Annual MSC Coat'n'Cleat Drive starting soon
MSC 5th annual Coat'n'Cleat Drive is coming soon. MSC has has collected over 800 coats and 150 pairs of cleats. We need your help in collecting soccer cleats and coats for Lake County residents in need. This is a great way for our players and their parents can help in our home community. Recycle your out-grown items AND help your community. MSC partners with Mundelein Police Dept, local schools, Carl Sandburg NJHS and Fremont Township Family Services to collect and distribute needed items. General / Coaches Meeting Thursday December 8th
Thursday, Dec 8th we will be having our general club & coaches meeting at the Mundelein Fire Station at 1000 N. Midlothian Road. Please note, each team is REQUIRED to have a representative at every coach meeting. Since we have some teams training till 8pm Thursday, the meeting will start at promptly 8pm.
This is our monthly coaches/membership meeting to review MSC board updates and upcoming events. These meetings are interactive so please come ready to participate. See you there.
MSC Volunteers out in FORCE
Thank you to all the families that participated in the fall 2011 MSC Field closing. Over 30 volunteers came out and made quick work of getting the field ready for winter. See you all again in the spring for field opening!!
